Citizens of foreign countries traveling to Brazil on tourism are normally required to obtain a visa prior to entering Brazil. This requirement complies with reciprocity toward countries that demand Brazilian citizens to hold a visa in order to enter into their territories.
Citizens of countries that do not demand tourist visas from Brazilian nationals usually do not need tourist visas to enter Brazil.
Please check the following link in order to find a list of those countries whose nationals do not require a tourist visa to visit Brazil: http://visacentral.com/brazil-visa

According to the new update in the recommendations of the World Health Organization (the WHO), issued on January 16th, 2018 it is highly recommended , international travelers who go to any area of the state of São Paulo, in Brazil, have to be vaccinated against yellow fever.
Vaccination must be realized at least ten days before traveling.
According to the Federal Police from Guarulhos Airport (55 11) 2445-2212, the yellow fever vaccine is not required for foreigners when entering Brazilian territory but due to the outbreak in Brazil, it is highly recommended that foreigners take the vaccine, as there may be the possibility of quarantine when they return to their country of residence.
Currently, the vaccine is also recommended for international travelers who go to the states of the Center-West Regions and North of Brazil, Minas Gerais, Rio de Janeiro, Espirito Santo and Maranhão, besides parts of the states of the South Region, Bay and Piauí.”
We would like to inform you that although ISE and the partner companies for the field project are in a safe area of São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro, please make sure you take special care of your belongings as tourists are special targets like in any other big city.
All drugstores usually sell not only medicines, but cosmetic products too. Every neighborhood has several drugstores and lots of them are open 24 hours.
Most medicines are labeled with the price set by the government (ask for the generic version of the drug), so there’s no point in shopping around. Since you may not know if you will need a prescription for drugs, it is better for you to bring as much information about the product as you can (components, dose, etc.), so the drugstore can find a substitute if your brand is not available here. If you have a particular medical condition for which you need a specific drug, you should bring a supply with you until you can confirm that it is available here. Usually, drugs are not much cheaper in Brazil.
Regular medications that don’t usually need a prescription, such as pain relievers, cold and cough medicine, etc., are only available at pharmacies, and you must ask the pharmacist for assistance. Over-the-counter medications are only available at drugstores (no aspirin or cold medicine is sold at the grocery store, for example).
